Once arrived, prepare yourself with the change of climate and culture shock. This is a common issue among most international students. UK have seasonal climate, its advisable to have some warm clothing upon arrival in UK, especially during autumn because UK weather is much colder compare to most country. You will need thicker cloths during the winter, but most winter cloths can be bought in UK itself as they are more affordable and better design compare to warmer countries.

Register with GP soonest possible, it is advisable to register with the nearest GP to where you live. You will require to have letter of confirmation, passport and UK address. Consulting a GP is free but you will require to pay for the medicines. You can make an appointment through call or nurse in any surgery house. Share your information regarding GP to friends, warden or even landlord. This is for emergency situation, as they will know where to take you to? Want more informations?
